Professional Interests

Terri Mortensen, Psy.D., is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Psychology and the Fischler College of Education and School of Criminal Justice. She currently works full time as a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice about 5-10 minutes south of the NSU main campus and specializes in working with children, adolescents, and families with anxiety, trauma, and mood disorders.

Dr. Mortensen has taught courses in case conceptualization, counseling techniques, child protection, case management, family dynamics, and an overview of children and trauma. Previously, Dr. Mortensen worked as clinical supervisor and full time faculty member at NSU and as a clinical supervisor and program manager of the child and family program at the Faulk Center for Counseling.
