Add Value to Your Community and Society

Psychologists have many career paths available to them—they can choose to go into private practice, become faculty leaders, help solve criminal cases, focus on innovative research, and much more. The great news is, across the board, occupations in psychology are expected to grow faster than average.

NSU prepares you for entering the high-demand fields of psychology through extensive hands-on experience in any one of our 15 on-site clinics. You’ll work closely with faculty to assess, diagnose, and help treat real patients from the community. South Florida’s diverse population exposes you to people of different cultural backgrounds, languages, and attitudes—allowing you to gain a breadth of experience you won’t find elsewhere.

You’ll also have opportunities to conduct research and present at conferences around the country, including at the American Psychological Association convention. This involvement helps you develop connections and opens the door to even more career opportunities.
