Forensic Psychology Minor

The minor in Forensic Psychology explores the intersection of psychology and the law, with a focus on how psychological science and research can inform and enhance practice across a range of forensic settings, including the courts, law enforcement, and victim support. This also addresses the psychological and social factors that influence crime and offending. Lastly, it gives students the opportunity to learn and develop skills in conducting research in the field of Forensic Psychology. 

This is a complimentary minor for students majoring in psychology, criminal justice, or legal studies, and students majoring in other disciplines who have an interest in this field. This minor may be combined with any other major or minor. It includes three core courses (9 credits) and a range of elective courses where students can choose 3 electives (9 credits) from either our undergraduate or graduate programs depending on their academic interests and career aspirations.
