Dr. Argüelles-Borge is a licensed clinical psychologist and Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical and School Psychology at NSU's College of Psychology. She has been taught a variety of research courses at the undergraduate, master's, and doctoral levels. Dr. Argüelles-Borge has consulted on many dissertations, especially in the area of methodology. In addition, it has facilitated a number of workshops, both live and online, related to research methods, specifically, literature reviews, research designs, ethics, and feasibility of research projects.
Dr. Argüelles-Borge teaches in Spanish and has international expertise in NSU (having had a presence in Venezuela, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, Jamaica, and in a good number of states, including Florida). Before coming to NSU, Dr. Argüelles-Borge was an assistant professor of research at the University of Miami’s School of Medicine, Psychiatry Department. While at UM, she had both clinical and research duties. Her clinical duties include both neuropsychological assessments for Alzheimer's disease patients and family therapy with their families. Additionally, she conducted individual and group therapy for patients with an HIV diagnosis.
