Nina Badaan Shinway, Psy.D. is an Adjunct Professor for the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience at Nova Southeastern University. She currently teaches the Child Maltreatment and Trauma Assessment and Intervention online graduate course, for those students interested in taking on a specialty in the treatment of trauma. Dr. Shinway has a keen interest in working with trauma survivors, and in her clinical work she specializes in working with women who have been negatively impacted by domestic violence, childhood abuse, and reproductive/female issues. Dr. Shinway founded the Center for Specialized Psychology, a private practice located in Hoboken, NJ, to meet the unique and individualized needs of women and children exposed to trauma. She also supervises and trains both master and doctoral level students, interns, and postdocs in this specialized area.
