Elouise O. Demestichas is a Florida licensed and certified school psychologist who serves as the Fort Lauderdale Site Manager for the school psychology program at Nova Southeastern University’s (NSU) College of Psychology. She is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP), who has thirty-six years’ experience in Broward County Public Schools, Florida, as a school psychologist. She served as secretary for the Broward Association of School Psychologists (BASP) from 2013-2018. Elouise also practiced for five years in Raleigh County Public Schools, West Virginia. She is the recipient of the inaugural Florida Association of School Psychologists’ (FASP) Outstanding Supervisors of Practicum and Internship Students Award (2021). Her current interests include continuing to provide supervision and mentorship to school psychology students. She believes that if students are trained/supervised well, they will better serve the needs of children and families, thus increasing students’ achievement as well as their emotional well-being.
