Professional Interests

Maritza Gallardo-Cooper, Ph.D., is a full time core faculty member and professor in NSU’s School Psychology program. She teaches and mentors students in the specialist and doctoral programs in applied methods in counseling, assessment, and play therapy. She provides training and consultation in the community as well as contributes to national and international professional committees. Her clinical interests include child and adolescent therapy, parent and family intervention, assessment, crisis response, bilingual practice, and clinical supervision.
