Education:
Dr. Emily Georgia is a licensed clinical psychologist and Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical and School Psychology at Nova Southeastern University. She completed her pre-doctoral internship and post-doctoral fellowship within Veteran’s Administration Medical Centers. Her research focuses on implementing flexibly delivered interventions for romantic couples in distress as well as understanding contributors and protective factors within intimate relationships. She has specific interest in working with underserved populations. She also directs the OurRelationship clinical practicum providing trainees experience working with a diverse set of conflictual couples across the nation. Her work has been funded by the Administration for Children and Families, the University of Miami College of Liberal Arts, NSU President’s Faculty Research and Development Grants, NSU College of Psychology Fellowship award and recognized by Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT), and the ABCT Couples Special Interest Group. Finally, Dr. Georgia received the Provost’s Research and Scholarship Award for her scholarship, teaching, and service to the University.
