Professional Interests

Ryan Bennett, Psy.D., currently serves as an Assistant Professor and as the Assistant Director of the Neuropsychology Assessment Center at Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Bennett earned his degree in clinical psychology, with a neuropsychology focus, from Nova Southeastern University. His post-doctoral training has focused on the clinical application of neuropsychology in various settings ranging from in-patient rehabilitation, outpatient community mental health, forensic, and sports medicine settings. His clinical experiences are complemented by his research interests in the cognitive and emotional sequelae following traumatic brain injury. Dr. Bennett has further streamlined his research to focus on the interrelations of cultural considerations and neuropsychological assessment. More specifically, his directed study aimed to explore the effects of diversity on neuropsychological assessment in a retired NFL cohort. Lastly, Dr. Bennett recognizes and values the importance of student integration at NSU and has enjoyed serving as an adjunct professor for a variety of courses in the PsyD program.
