Oraib Toukhly, Psy.D. serves as an Adjunct Professor at Nova Southeastern University, where she teaches in both doctoral-level and counseling programs. Her teaching portfolio includes core and advanced courses such as Advanced Treatment Intervention, Diagnosis and Treatment of Child and Adolescent Psychopathology, Projective Personality Assessment, Psychological Testing for Individual Evaluation, and Social and Cultural Foundations of Counseling.

Dr. Toukhly is deeply committed to community-based and international humanitarian engagement, with particular emphasis on work with refugee and displaced populations. She received specialized training through Harvard University in Humanitarian Response Initiatives and has led and participated in multiple humanitarian and educational initiatives with students in South Africa, Jordan, Australia, and India, integrating cross-cultural psychology, service learning, and ethical clinical practice.

In addition, Dr. Toukhly serves as an expert witness in the 17th Judicial Court in Broward County, specializing in child trauma and custody matters. She also conducts comprehensive psychological evaluations for asylum proceedings and Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) cases.

In addition, Dr. Toukhly develops and facilitates international workshops and trainings grounded in Cultural Intelligence (CQ), focusing on culturally responsive clinical practice, leadership, and assessment across global and humanitarian contexts.

Dr. Toukhly completed postdoctoral training at the Development Assessment Clinic and conducted evaluations for children suspected of autism spectrum disorders and other developmental delays. She also worked and taught at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn/New York, at the psychiatric inpatient unit and outpatient.

She is fluent in Arabic (spoken and written), which informs her clinical work, teaching, and international training initiatives.
