Welcome to the Eating Disorders Awareness Association webpage. The Eating Disorders Awareness Association (EDAA) is a graduate student run organization with the primary goal of educating students, faculty, and the community regarding the causes, treatment, diagnoses, and current issues regarding eating disorders.
EDAA is very active in the community and each year help fundraise, organize and participate in Eating Disorders Awareness Week, "celebrating everyBODY: a walk to re(Define) (Real)ity."
Our organization provides opportunities for involvement in research on eating disorders and related topics as well as up-to-date information on research and best-practices in the field of eating disorders. We have presented research posters at national conferences such as the American Psychological Association and the American Psychological Society. We have strong, collaborative relationships with local eating disorder treatment facilities to provide opportunities for learning, training and employment.
EDAA has been nominated twice for the Student Life Achievement Award (STUEY). Lastly, we host monthly educational webinar talks for the community.
To become a member, please attend our EDAA meetings and discuss your interest with a board member. You can also visit the EDAA Facebook page.
